Preparing vehicle damage photos for an estimate

Organize useful photographs for the shop while remembering that images cannot replace an inspection.

Confirm the preferred channel first

Ask the location how it accepts photographs before sending them. This website has no photo-upload form. Avoid posting claim paperwork, registration documents or other personal records in public comments to accompany a damage photo.

Give the damage context

When the parked vehicle is in a safe place, take an overall view of the affected side and a closer view of each visible area. Use ordinary lighting and keep original images. Do not remove trim, reach under the vehicle or take risks to obtain another angle.

Pair photos with a short description

Note when the damage occurred, the affected area and changes you observed. Mention warning messages separately. Ask the shop what must be inspected in person before it can provide a repair plan or schedule; photographs alone cannot confirm hidden damage.
